Urban Field partners has been guiding new development in Anaheim as urban design consultants for over three decades. Through numerous projects and over time, the downtown was re-built to become a place where people come to take selfies.
All three partners worked on the former Anaheim Guide for Development in 2011 while at Field Paoli Architects.

Served as design review for the Four Diamond standard for Hotels that are located around the Disneyland Resort
Written a Guide for Development, having previously updated it in 2011. The Guide describes a series of goals, strategies, and actions to improve the Greater Downtown Area, now known as Ctr City. The goal of the document is help new developers understand the goals of the City.
Studied long-term connections between Ctr City, the Disneyland Resort, and the Angels Stadium/ Honda Center/ ARTIC Station within the City of Anaheim.

"Scrape it and start over!"
In the 1970s, the historic downtown of Anaheim was demolished to make way for urban renewal. The scar that was left behind took decades to heal. For years there was no downtown.
Rebuilding the downtown required a vision, and visual explanation. Each block involved site studies, explorations of placemaking concepts, and preliminary plans.
It is always useful to have strong imagery and precedents to help everyone envision potential changes. In this study, the street and public spaces in the Civic Center were illustrated to include as much public amenity as possible.
